Students can learn about the exciting world of television production by becoming a member of our production team. Cable 14 accepts students for placements through high school or post secondary school co-op or internship programs.
Cable 14 placement students take training for and may perform any or all of the following crew positions: studio or mobile camera operation, hand held camera operation, audio operation, computer graphics operation, floor directing and much more.
Studio productions are on a set schedule and we look for students who can commit to a regular volunteer shift (i.e. mornings or evenings). Mobile and EFP productions take place at various times during the week and usually more physically demanding as production equipment must be carried to the location, set up and operated. Placements accepted in those departments require more flexibility in their schedules.
