Wilf was an educator and a Kiwanian, affectionately known as Mr. TV Bingo. He passed away December of 2002, just a few months after meeting with Cable 14 to discuss the creation of this very scholarship for Cable 14 volunteers. Due to his involvement in the scholarship decision, his lifelong work with young people both as a highschool principal and through the Kiwanis Club and especially the great respect and affection Wilf inspired in others, it was decided that the scholarship would be named in his honour. Wilf was a kind and caring man who valued professionalism, teamwork and integrity. This is how we choose to remember him.
