Cable 14 provides many opportunities for individuals and organizations in the community to have access to Cable 14 through programming airtime or volunteer opportunities. These include but are not limited to the following:Program submissions or suggestions
Cable 14 accepts submissions from the community for programming created by "community producers". These can include fundraising events for local charities, access show for community groups, entertainment programming or other non-commercial programming that would benefit the community. To submit a proposal, please include an outline of the program along with information on how this would benefit the community and what you as the "community producer" would be able to provide in terms of promotions, sponsorship, etc. Submissions should be directed to Production Supervisor Gail Granlund at
Cable 14 also accepts suggestions from the community for current programming. If you'd like to suggest an idea or a topic for a current program, please send you idea to
and indicate which program you are interested in.Volunteering/Internships Community members are able to "be part of the action" at Cable 14 in a volunteer or internship position. This is a great way to learn about the televsion industry if you're considering going back to school for a career change or if you just like to be involved or have a fun and interesting hobby. Cable 14 accepts volunteers 18 years of age and older to participate in our studio and mobile productions. Volunteers are accepted twice a year, in January and June. Cable 14 also accepts interns or co-op students at both the highschool and college level or through placements through Ontario Works.
